Dan Leal, Senior Network Administrator At LK Tech
Dan is one of LK Tech’s longest tenured employees, having joined the company in May of 2007. He has a wealth of experience in the IT industry, starting from his days as a mainframe operator at Kenner Toys and then working as an applications developer at Mercantile Stores. Today he is one our Senior Network Administrators working in the field to support clients.
Dan enjoys the variety of his job, as he gets to service many types of businesses and interact with many great people. He is always on the lookout for new technologies and solutions that can benefit his clients. He recalls a memorable problem he solved for a client when a server crashed, and he had to use a backup tool that was not very user-friendly. He managed to restore the server after a very late night and was relieved that everything turned out well.
A Family Affair
LK Tech is now a family affair for Dan. His son Daniel followed in his footsteps as an IT Engineer and joined the LK Tech team in 2020. We’re extremely lucky to have both Dan and Daniel at LK Tech, their dedication to service and love of learning new technology is infectious.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, Dan loves spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He also likes to observe the local bird population in his neighborhood and was thrilled to see a piliated woodpecker, a large and elusive bird, visit his backyard. He and his wife also enjoy walking the trails in Winton Woods near their home.
